TSC and Sight and Sound

(Try to not get any food on my knitting, please. ;)

Indulgence: "Something that is done or enjoyed as a special pleasure."

When I was in my 20s and 30s I used to knit all the time. People would ask me "What will you do when you're an old lady if you're doing all this knitting now?" I would say, "I will just knit some more!"

Well, time and life has taken its toll on my shoulder and wrists so now when I knit it is pure indulgence and I cherish every minute of it. This is a sweater that I started some time ago. I am hoping that I can finish it in the, not too distant, future.

I'd like to dedicate this photo to our fearless Witch who, I know, also has to cut back on her knitting. Hang in there "oh wicked one!" :)

Hmm... Okay, here it comes... (drum roll...)

I like the composition, and there are leading lines used in the image. Good depth of field. Light works for the subject. Although, I have added some vignetting. But that is a bad habit of mine =D

I like to knit although I only really took it up again in the last few years after learning when I was a girl. I like that it grows fast. People are fed up with scarfs. I like the textures here and the colour. My favourite wool is alpaca.

I used to knit a long time ago, but it's been so long that I forgot how to. My mother took it up late in life, and I have a couple of precious sweaters she knitted for my bears, which mean a lot to me. I hope you can finish your beautiful sweater soon, Karen. You are a wonderful knitter, and I like how you composed your shot! :-)

Yes, I hope you finish it real soon, Karen. When I click on the link I get a very polite message saying "This video is not available...sorry about that" :-) When I put "Pleasure and Pain" into the YouTube search box I got one or two unexpected results :-) But, I may be too young to view them :-))) However, when I put in exactly "Al Jarreau (1988) Pleasure Over Pain" I got the correct result :-))) Not heard this before.
