Starling staring at the suet


Like all the rest of North America, we have huge gangs of European starlings.
In large numbers, they drive every other bird away from our feeders and chew up the resources pretty quickly.
In smaller numbers, like one or two at a time, they are very calm, even slow to react.
Like this one, staring at his food, maybe a little unsure, maybe just trying to settle his stomach before he goes at it some more.
