Two of last years seagull chicks

Two of last years seagull chicks
These are Winking and Blinking - 2 of last year's seagull chicks who hatched ontop of my roof. Every year the seagulls choose to nest in between my four chimneys and inevitably the chicks fall down from the roof onto my porch roof. Then they wander around my driveway for a couple of days before they fly off. I called them Winking and Blinking, because Nod was still on the roof - there were 3 chicks that year.

Fred Fouarge, tiabunna, Janet Brien have particularly liked this photo

Yes I'm sure you do, with me moaning about them nearly every day. When Nod eventually came down, I had 3 of the little darlings wandering around the driveway

New to me but then I just added you to my contacts very recently! Not sure what I would do! I dislike seagulls (just as I dislike those rats with wings - pigeons) but I recognise these are quite cute and you can't just let them perish!!!

What irritates me is that when they fall off the roof (a drop of 40ft) they always land on my porch roof and then spends about a week on there, doing their business etc and I then have to pay someone to come and clean it for me, because I can't reach. The main problem though is that my cat is scared to come in through the cat flap which is on the porch door, because the parents of them swoop down to protect their young.
