Preparing to move my fence about 3 feet out toward the road.

I guess it must be an effect of the drought; my pumpkins are undersized and ripening much too early due to stress. It is pretty cute, though.

My cucumber plants are beginning to show signs of stress from the drought. I water when I can, but I'm not sure how much my well can take, so it's sporadic. There are two basil plants (Dolce Fresca and Thai) in the front tank that are doing amazing despite the lack of water.

I am smitten with this adorable little bee.

An early Christmas gift from my neighbor. I keep forgetting Lucille is hidden in the plants near the water garden, so I always jump when I first catch sight of her.

I'm either going to have to bite the bullet and drill drain holes in my cauldron, or use it as another water feature. Even in this drought, it holds water like crazy.
