I've planted sunflowers before, but I've never really had much success with them. This year they just went crazy! I was so happy with all the varieties and especially the height some of them have grown to.

The new incarnation of my fence is going to be beefy compared to the old one. I've gone from 6 foot, 3.5 inch round posts to 8 foot, 4 inch square pressure treated timbers.

Gotta love digging in New Hampshire. I swear, this land is 80% rocks, 15% ledge, and 5% pleasantly diggable materials.

The coyotes are like a tide, ebbing and flowing, here and then gone. When they come together and sing it is at once both beautiful and terrifying. I never miss a chance to enjoy their chorus.
