Darkness Falls
Days end across Bridgwater Bay and the coast of South Wales!
The distant lights are, I think of Barry and Barry Island! Which is around 12 Miles across the Bristol Channel as the crow flies.
Shot in 16.9 therefore a large view may be best!
Half Way Up!
An orange canal boat full of passengers floating in a caisson is lifted 115 feet (ca. 35 m) before docking into the high level section of the Union Canal, For an idea of size see people outside the glass fronted visitor center.
This is the Falkirk Wheel, a unique rotating boat lift which was built as a Millennium project and links the Union Canal with the Forth and Clyde Canal,
Pips show progress through the lift,......... Large view recommended!
A brief history for anyone interested. www.canaljunction.com/attraction/falkirk-wheel.htm
Walls and Gates,
The Crinan Basin and the western end of the Crinan Canal.
The canal which has15 locks and 7 bridges stretches nine miles from Ardrishaig on Loch Fyne to Crinan, on the Sound of Jura.
In 16.9 therefore, a large vie may be beneficial
May Bank Holiday
Evening Sun highlights the huge Sea Wall that helps keep the higher tides in Bridgwater Bay from flooding the town, at Burnham on Sea,
The wall is 1 mile (1.61 km) long with a height of 10ft 6 in (3.2 m) and during storm surges waves still overtop the wall,
Large view Please
A shot from the Bridge!
One of the many watercourses that flow to Loch Katrine, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.
Loch Katrine is a serpentine lake orientated west-north-west - east-south-east, having a length of about 8 miles (ca. 13 km), with a maximum width of almost exactly 1 mile (1.6 km)

HFF and a nice weekend ,,,,,, A large view, perhaps.
Walls aplenty,
Wells Cathedral as a backdrop to a busy High Street,
Lots of detail, so a large view recommended! ,,,,,,, HWW!
Sunset View
The bench is the main focus however you do need to stand to see the Sunset, The sea wall has to be this high to cope with the vast tidal range,
HWW from Burnham on Sea!
Sun, Sea and Shadows
Another changeable day on the Somerset Coast, This is Blue Anchor looking East with people taking exercise along the promenade while keeping an eye on the weather!
The mile long beach is available to dog walkers all year around and is great for fossil hunting, in fact Blue Anchor and Lilstock is a 742.8-hectare geological Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
The height of the seawall gives an indication of the tidal range in the channel.
HFF and a nice weekend,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Large view, perhaps.
Brean Down View
Another image from Birnbeck, Weston Super Mare this time shot in 16.9 Therefore a large view may be advantageous. HWW!
