February Coastal

A pleasant mid-February afternoon at Burnham on Sea on the Somerset coast, The low tide has emptied Bridgwater Bay leaving the sandy 7-mile beaches to the dog walkers and sand castle builders. The image also features Britain's shortest pier, built in 1911 at just 100ft (ca. 30 metres) long. Shot in 16.9 format, so a large view please,,,,,,, HFF and a great weekend to all!

Loch Ba,

A view across a corner of Loch Ba and the 50 square mile Rannoch Moor on a mild May morning. The high point in the distance is Stob Na Cruaiche 2425 feet (ca. 739 m) This was at the heart of the last significant ice field in the UK at the end of the last ice age. A large view is strongly recommended

On the Beach

Just managed to squeeze a bench or two into this image from the beach at Porlock Weir, Somerset. Note the tall Chimneys, which are built tall in an attempt to cure downdraught caused by winds off of the sea and the higher ground in the backdrop! HBM and a good week to all!
