Coast and Castle
Built by the Clan Kennedy of Carrick during the 15th and 16th century, Dunure Castle stands on a rocky promontory on the Carrick Coast around 5 miles down the coast from the town of Ayr, which is just visible on the distant coast if a large view is used.

Ha, ha..............I'm trying to avoid "bench" shots, but you keep posting them in such wonderful scenery that I just have to stop and comment :-)))

This is an absolutely cracking view Roger. The castle ruins are still very impressive and dominate the coast line. You've captured them in super detail.

The coast line itself is beautiful, especially in the gorgeous sunshine. I love the colour of the sea and the blue tones of the sky.
