Benches
A Wheel Bench
Another non-standard bench this time sadly showing the passage of time and the salty air, Carskey Bay, Kintyre,
HBM and a good week
Cat and Fiddle
A fine memorial bench overlooking Loch Broom at Ullapool in Wester Ross, Scotland, Strangely it has no dates and internet searches have yielded no information as to the identity of Sandy, did he or she love cats and play a fiddle or were they mine hosts of a pub called the Cat and Fiddle,
Another image from the archives this time 2011
Solitude,
This is Portencross which is a hamlet near Farland Head in North Ayrshire, The bench is looking out over the Firth of Clyde.
Large if you prefer,
Still only visiting intermittantly but I will catch up eventually
Ardmucknish Bay
On a grey day with just a hint of sun a chance to sit on a nautical bench with a view of the Connel Bridge, The bridge takes the A828 road across the narrowest part of Loch Etive at the Falls of Lora. Captured from the grounds of Dunstaffnage Castle,
Loch side
Raiding the recent archives again, this is an image from the autumn of 2019,
Loch Fyne at Tarbert in Kintyre and to the left of the image the slipway from which CalMac ferries sail to and from the Cowel peninsula, and to the Isle of Arran in winter,
Safe Harbour,
A sunny day in Maidens, a village in the Kirkoswald parish of Ayrshire, Scotland. Situated on the coast of the Firth of Clyde at the southern end of Maidenhead Bay, a series of rocks known as the "Maidens” form a natural harbour. The village lies 2 miles (3 km) north of the ruinous Turnberry Castle, ancient seat of the Earls of Carrick, Wikipedia.
Horse Island under cloudy Skies
This is a small rocky island which lies at around 1 km (1⁄2 mi) west of the North Ayrshire town of Ardrossan,
A 16-metre-tall (52 ft) stone beacon stands at the south end of Horse Isle, marking the island for shipping. (Large view please)
New Bench, Old Croft.
Croft houses at the Skye Museum of island life on the Trotternish peninsula in northern Skye,
A fascination look back to the hardships' crofting people endured,
A link if anyone is interested, www.skyemuseum.co.uk
A Working Quay
The A755 bridge across the River Dee is the backdrop to the Kircudbright fishing quays,
Shot in 16.9 so a large view would be appreciated
