Red Kite Country, pips

Evening shadows start to form as Red Kite hunt over a freshly harvested field in Kirkcudbrightshire, please see pips, although they are not as close as I would have hoped, but I seldom carry a longer lens when walking,

Lovely to see these majestic birds together above such a beautiful landscape Roger. We have a number resident our local foreset and quite often see them together like this. Sometimes it appears to be the parent birds teaching the youngsters how its done! I have yet to get a shot anywhere near a good as yours.

Early evening and the farmer was out bailing hay and up to twenty of these birds were wheeling and diving for small prey, having quickly exhausted supply they followed the bailers on to the next field,
