Honest Ed's, 2010


Toronto. My favourite moment in Ed's was seeing a group of men in Mao jackets being escorted past a display of backlit Last Suppers. They had clearly been overwhelmed by the range of Ed's stock. The store was opened in 1948 by Ed and Anne Mirvish and closed in 2016. Even when I was a tiny child I thought the store was crowded, so you can imagine how it seemed when I was older.
