You could have a whole album of wires, grills, and meshes. In this one there are (fancied) two pairs of eyes looking at us blankly from their wiry entanglement. The mind looks for things like that in a picture like this, I think.

That's interesting, Bob. I've always seen these as buildings, so my search for meaning ended elsewhere. I may have been calling up memories of Fritz Lang;s New Toer of Babel in Metropolis. Come to think of it. I could've pasted a tiny airplane in there.
