I like all the vertical and. horizontal lines and the variety of geometrical shapes in the structure of this large building and the muted colour tones.

The lady in the red coat and her dog together with the trees give a good idea of scale. Although I like this shot, I find it a bit depressing............it is pretty much devoid of life.......on one on the balconies, no washing lines or coloured curtains, nothing to show the place is occupied.

Thanks, Keith. I originally posted this with the title "The Lonesome Scenes of Winter", after a Canadian folk song that is also known in the States but nowhere else in the English-speaking world. Not surprising, really, I suppose. North America is sparsely populated so our winters are especially lonely.
