January 6th is Epiphany or Three Kings' Day, commemorating the visit of the Magi. Here in Denmark "Helligtrekonger" is traditionally the time, when we are supposed to take down the Christmas tree. We never use real lit candles, but when Bastian found these battery candles next to his treats, he got very wary and cautious.
