In Igueste de San Andrés ist die Insel Teneriffa für den Normaltouristen zu Ende. Ab hier geht es nur noch zu Fuss weiter in die schroffen Berge und Täler im Anaga-Gebirge. Der große Briefkasten in dem Ort hat daher eine wichtige Funktion zu erfüllen. Von hier aus geht die Post nur in eine Richtung.
