Cuckoo Hill reach, Chesterfield Canal

Chesterfield Canal: Drakehouse to Wiseton walk, 28th May 2015.
It was a beautiful late spring day and the hawthorn bushes were laden with rich, fragrant May blossom along the banks of the Chesterfield Canal, with Cuckoo Hill in the background, Nottinghamshire. The blossom blowing into the canal formed extensive white rafts of petals.
The footpath which follows the canal towpath is the 'Cuckoo Way'.
