I was concentrating on the pheasant when I spotted the young Doe coming along the fence, I just waited a couple of seconds for it to step into the frame.

This is rather amazing. Is one or both of these animals captive here?

No Ronald completely wild and free to roam. there were 3 or four deer in the meadow and several pheasants, these two came into the frame at just the right time.

I felt sure it would be the Pheasant trying to push into the shot of the deer :-)
They are pushy birds.
It must be good to get such a clear view of the deer.

A nice natural history shot here Maurice. I see quite a lot of pheasants in our local moors but very rarely a young Doe. Well captured.

Keep safe. Herb

Cracking shot Maurice regardless of which of them did the bombing! A majestic looking pheasant with wonderful tail feathers. What kind of deer is it Maurice? Not seen one like that in this area.

Quiet common in the UK Doug, It's a Muntjac. It was introduced from China early in the last centaury and like many introductions it has thrived well and is becoming a bit of a pest. It is also involved in many traffic collisions costing the insurance companies LOTS.

Well captured Maurice espacially as both tend to be rather skittish.
