Danke Lothar. Ja, hier herrschen die stärksten Gezeiten Europas, bei Ebbe zieht sich das Meer bis zu 15 km zurück. Man sagt ja immer, dass die Flut hier "wie ein Pferd im Galopp" zurück zur Küste kommt...

Das ist richtig, wenn man in dieser Bucht wattwandern gehen will, muss man einiges beachten, z.B. niemals allein los, sondern nur in Begleitung eines ausgebildeten Führers. Es gibt hier Flächen mit Treibsand und 14 Meter Tidenhub, das sind die stärksten Gezeiten Europas.
