Thank you Ecobird, I was squatting in front of the tulips to do so;-) And in this region (Brittany and also Normandy) there are a lot of these old half-timbered houses.

Danke Leon. Das ist eine gute Frage, aber keine Ahnung, ob das Enten waren.... Das stimmt, Fachwerkbau gibt es in Frankreich nicht nur im Elsass, sondern auch oft und viel in der Normandie und der Bretagne.
