This narrow alley is called "Main Street" :-)
Eppstein is a quaint little town in the Taunus mountains. The ruins of the castle (first mention in 1122), the half-timbered houses and the narrow streets give much character to the old city centre.

Thanks Peter, actually there are a few of these houses which look like cuckoo's eggs within the half-timbered houses. I think it's because they are quite old as well, and in the past the heritage office was not that strict with the monument protection!
