What a lovely picture Doug. It reminds me so much of the stretch of river we used to play along when I was young. It had a trunk across just like this...I never fell in! Sometimes it was shallow enough to walk across. Thanks for the memories.

A Derbyshire river with many scenic qualities,

Thanks for your visit Pat. There are four rivers in England called Derwent, this one is in Yorkshire. The other three are in Derbyshire, Cumbria and Northumberland.
