Man findet die Streifenwanzen an Doldenblütlern wie Kerbel, Möhre Kälberkropf, in Gärten auch an Kulturpflanzen wie Dill oder Fenchel. Gehölze in der Nähe der Pflanzen, auf denen man die adulten Tiere im Frühjahr häufiger antrifft, scheinen günstig für den Bestand der Wanzen zu sein.
Sowohl die Larven, als auch die adulten Tiere sitzen meist auf ihren Nahrungspflanzen und saugen dort an den reifenden Samen. Die Adulten überwintern in trockener Bodenstreu oder in Pflanzenpolstern. Die Paarung findet ab Ende Mai und insbesondere im Juni statt; die Weibchen legen dann über den Zeitraum Juni/Juli ihre Eier ab. Pro Jahr wird eine Generation ausgebildet.

Both the larvae and the adult animals usually sit on their food plants and suck on the maturing seeds there. The adults hibernate in dry litter or in plant cushions. Mating takes place from the end of May and especially in June; the females then lay their eggs during the June/July period. One generation is trained per year.
