On such a wonderful day like today, when many weekend tourists come, the alpine rescue service has a peak period. (The picture shows our local hospital and the rescue helicopter - captured one week ago after the big snowfall.) ~~~~~ An schönen Tagen wie heute, wo viele Wochenendurlauber kommen, hat die Notfallambulanz hier im Ort Hochbetrieb. (Zufällig hab ich vergangene Woche den Notarzt-Hubschrauber aus Waidring beim Abflug nach einem Einsatz erwischt. Details siehe PiP.)

This afternoon at the Gmail Chapel , situated within the Lower Kaiser Mountains close to St. Johann in Tyrol (Austria). (The name Gmail originates from a picture, which was painted on the cliff. The chapel has been contructed 1782 by Andrä Hueber.) ~~~~~ Heute Nachmittag an der Gmail-Kapelle , die sich in einer Felswand im Niederkaiser (nördlich von St. Johann in Tirol, Österreich) befindet. I'm not a Tyrolean, but Tyrol is my home away from home (Westphalia, Germany). (This bench stands on top of the Astberg , 1.267m, counterpart to the Kaiser Mountains, Tyrol, Austria. The Kaiser Mountains are to be seen in the background.) ~~~~~ Wenn man als Migrant so herzlich begrüßt wird, bleibt man doch gerne, oder? (Diese Bank steht auf dem Gipfel des Astberg , 1.267m, gegenüber vom Kaisergebirge, Tirol. Das Kaisergebirge ist im Hintergrund zu sehen.).

The summit to the left of it is the 'Karlspitze' (2.260m). Sometimes we have to shovel a lot before we can use our car, or we have to wait for the friendly neighbour with his snowblower. ~~~~~ Bevor man hier mit dem Auto fahren kann, muss man entweder lange schippen, oder auf den Nachbarn mit der Schneefräse warten.
