Schneerose

Die Schneerose, genannt meist Christrose oder Schwarze Nieswurz (Helleborus niger), ist eine Pflanzenart aus der Gattung Nieswurz (Helleborus) in der Familie der Hahnenfußgewächse (Ranunculaceae).
Die Schneerose ist nach der Bundesartenschutzverordnung besonders geschützt und nach der Roten Liste Deutschland als gefährdet eingestuft.
Bei den alten Griechen hieß die Pflanze helléboros (έλλεβόρου). Das lateinische Artepitheton niger bezieht sich auf das schwarze Rhizom dieser Pflanzenart. Der Name Schwarze Nieswurz verweist sowohl auf das schwarze Rhizom als auch auf die Verwendung als Niespulver.

Die Christrose mag einen nährstoffreichen und humosen Boden. Wichtig ist auch, dass sie sich ungestört entwickeln kann und einen guten Wasserabzug hat, denn sie verträgt keine Staunässe. Unter diesen Bedingungen ist diese Staude ausgesprochen langlebig und breitet sich zu grossen Pflanzengruppen aus.

Liebe aNNa,
für die Frontpage hebt sich die Blüte zu wenig von dem unruhigen Untergrund ab. Vor allem stört auch das Blatt unterhalb der Blüte, das den Blick auf sich zieht.
