With their frowns and staring eyes, this family doesn't appear to be enjoying their photo session. I'm not sure if Harry Johnson Everitt is the name of the father or the son.

You've definitely got a group "piercing, unusual, or distinctive eyes" shot! At first I thought the mom was the winner, but that little boy...whew!

Wow, those expressions are amazing! You could invent so many stories from this photo. The mother’s look of pained resignation, the blind terror in the child’s eyes. Best of all, for me, is the hostile glare of the father. What a happy bunch!

Thanks, everybody, for the comments and likes! "Glum" is what comes to my mind when I look at this photo. I think Deborah's correct that the boy is the winner of the piercing eyes contest, though I do like how the father's and son's expressions seem to match so closely. And Bill's interpretation of eyes full of pain, terror, and hostility is quite interesting, too!
