I found this photo at an antique co-op in western Pennsylvania a couple of years ago. I was able to determine the month and year--October 1916--from the Mellon National Bank calendar that's hanging on the wall.

I have a calendar photo that nearly made me blind trying to figure out the date on it. lol

Thanks, Deborah! I have some photos like that, too. In a number of cases when enlarging and squinting haven't worked, I've resorted to checking which years a particular day of the month falls on a specific weekday (like figuring out that March 1 occurs on Fridays in 1907, 1912, and 1918 to help date the teacher photo). Sometimes that helps narrow down the date, sometimes it doesn't.
