I live in Bristol, Vermont - a town of about three and a half thousand people. If you Google Image it, you'll see how wonderful it is. : )
This view of the Lord's Prayer Rock is very similar today, only the road is now paved.
Supposedly this was carved to remind the rough and ready log drivers coming into Bristol from the mountains, to keep their usual bad language clean, while in the village.
It was mailed from Bristol on September 15,1906 at 7:30AM to:

As you can probably already see - on the bottom it says, " I got home all right & all well - Aunt Dell"

Bridport is about 16 miles south of here.
