Studied in Kiev with Zotova and in Paris with Paul Vidal. Debut at Kiev as Lisa in The Queen of Spades in 1900 and contracted to the Marinsky Opera 1901-1905 .From 1905-1915 she sang with the Bolshoi opera except for 2 years with Zimmins opera . returned to the Marinsky from 1915-1920,She was married to the Tenor David Yuzhin , In 1924 she settled in Paris .Her roles included Valentine “Les Huguenots” , Tamara “The Demon” , Masha “Daubeovsky” , Judith “Judith” , Jaroslavna “‘Prince Igor” and Guntrune “Das Rhiengold”
