A total of 285 stairsteps, with some steep ramps in between, leed us from Prado Road to the chapel on top of the hill, with a fine view over Tomar.

It is displayed in the Matches Museum, at Várzea Grande Square, Tomar.
A huge collection of match-boxes and match-covers of Aquiles da Mota Lima is also displayed there. Most countries and territories are represented there, including ancient countries that split up, and ancient colonies.

This tower could be illuminated by the energy generated in the plant, using the stream of River Nabão. It was an exciting event in those days.

At Dr. Joaquim Jacinto Street, in the historic centre of Tomar.
This synagogue was built in the 15th century, but was disaffected from cult late in that century, when jews were persecuted by the inquisition. Now it's a museum of the Luso-jewish community.
