I got a photo of the undercarriage of an insect on our window. A fill light enabled me to get some detail.

I had to check out what the noise was outside and the first thing I saw was this beast peaking out its head between the trees lining our street.
It was a paving machine creating a new surface on the highway.

2 AM paving crew members working on a main road through our community. It is too hot during the day so they work through the night. They are doing a great job.

Since it was 2 in the morning and getting to sleep was going to be difficult, I saw potential in getting some photographs with the interesting lighting their machines were creating.
