Macro Mondays: selective red. This is from a souvenir tea towel from Iceland.

We had a surprise visit to one of our bird feeders. It was the first time observation for me. A White-breasted Nuthatch. This is a typical position for them to feed. The work down a tree, unlike woodpeckers who have the tail feathers to support them going up a tree.

Macro Monday: Brush I put two snow brushes, the type one uses to clear the car of snow, one behind the other. These two have seen a lot of snow over the years.

Macro Monday: fork. My 18 year old cat needs a special diet as he has late stage kidney disease. The white powder is a supplement that goes with a special wet kidney care food. I work it into the pate with a fork.

The Robins arrived this week and they welcomed the birdbath in our backyard. Saturday Self-challenge: something that brings calm or serenity in our homes or yards. We love the birds that are attracted to our yard due to our feeders and our trees.
