Sheaf Mead (1915-1934)


Ex-Hawkser, 1919 purchased by Sheaf Steam Shipping from Turnbull & Son, Whitby renamed Sheaf Mead, 1930 sold to E. Tricoglu, Andros renamed Mina E. Tricoglu, 9.10.1933 stranded at Civitavecchia and 1934 scrapped. Herbert Brown Rae's longest association was with the SHEAF MEAD (1921-1930), which was engaged in 'deep sea tramping' along the Pacific coast of North and South America with forays to Australia and the Far East.
