rosy fingered dawn

rosy fingered dawn
While hiking around a park photographing frost covered trees, for a few moments the sunrise gave a pink colour to everything. As I was processing this I recalled Homer's rosy-fingered dawn phrase, which was one of the mnemonic devices he used to help him memorize his epic poem.

Thank you Annemarie. The title is stolen from Homer, who used rosy fingered dawn as a mnemonic device is either the Iliad or the Odessy; I can't remember which.

Thank you. Cold is a relative term, or course. Temperatures have been as much as 15 degrees above the long-term average for this time of year, with more hoar frost and ground fog as a result.
