William (Bill) Armstrong's photos with the keyword: sky

I borrowed the photo caption from writer W.O. Mitchell, describing Saskatchewan prairie as the lowest common denomination of earth and sky. The country does call out for a wide angle lens. I took this image somewhere in southwestern Saskatchewan.

While hiking around a park photographing frost covered trees, for a few moments the sunrise gave a pink colour to everything. As I was processing this I recalled Homer's rosy-fingered dawn phrase, which was one of the mnemonic devices he used to help him memorize his epic poem.

I don't recall where I saw this tree, but I was struck by its silhouette against an active sky.
