Thanks a lot, Amelia! Yes, we did:-) There is a network of narrow gauge railways and steam trains in the Harz mountains. We went up right to the top of Brocken (1142m)! I added the wiki link in the description.

Schönen Dank, Christel! Offenbar haben heute nicht mehr so viele den Wunsch. Aauf der Rückfahrt stand unser Zug, weil kein Lokomotivführer da war und es war nicht der einzige an dem Tag!

Ein guter Schuss entschädigt für viele misslungene, Gudrun. Hier hat es wohl der Heizer zu gut gemeint, da muss Überdruck abgebaut werden und die Fotografen freuen sich.
