The sculpture is a ceramic made (I presume) by Anne Connell, the owner of my previous house, who was an amateur potter, and was found by me in the undergrowth of the garden there.

From SE. Rebuilt 1788 to designs of John Wing (1728-94), who also designed King's Norton in Leicestershire ( www.leicestershirechurches.co.uk/#/kings-norton-church-le... ). The W tower and the chancel with its chapels are on the plan of the medieval church but the nave was rebuilt without aisles, according to a plan from the faculty authorizing the rebuilding which is displayed in the church - this accounts for the unusual T-shaped plan. Taken during a brief period of sunshine on an otherwise foggy day; the Welland valley to the north is still full of mist.
