Designed in 1683 by Henry Bell as a merchants' exchange; the first floor was let to the Collector of Customs; the entire building was bought by Customs 1718 and it was used as a customs house until 1989. List description: list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1195414

Post mill, brought from Ellington, Huntingdonshire and erected here in 1936 on the site of an earlier mill which collapsed in 1909. The mill had originally stood at Easton (also in Huntingdonshire) and contains timbers dating from c.1560-70 but was reconstructed c.1840, while it was at Ellington. "In its C19 form it is a composite mill, with a brick base supporting rollers which take some of the weight of the post mill above" [ The Buildings of England: Cambridgeshire (2014), p.613].

The west front of the abbey was built between 1120 and 1211, but was robbed of its ashlar facing after the dissolution; houses were inserted into the remains from the late C17 and altered in the C18 and C19. Listing: www.historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1375539 .
