Mephistopheles states his Philosophy

This pastel on 8 1/2 by 11 inch black paper is the image that came to mind listening to Jordan Peterson talk about Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's Faust and Mephistopheles' philosophy as stated therein and expressed by Peterson.

Hum, looking at it now, my Mephistopheles bears a rather strong resemblance to Peterson, with his eyes lost in shadow under the auditorium lights. ;-)
