The south breakwater was built at a slightly different angle to on this map, which does give you the overall locations of the main features and the Prison / Harbour Railway.

Chose this for SC138 - Map(s) [16March2025] for the truly unique railway connection.

The Peterhead Railway was the first Government owned railway, transporting the prisoners and the granite products to and from Sterling Hill.
Sadly there is little left of the railway ... although one of the convict vans lives on at Maud Railway Museum.
