London Hyde Park 5th February 1977

London Hyde Park 5th February 1977
Feeding the birds on the Serpentine in Hyde Park.

The Wellington Arch at Hyde Park Corner and the Palace of Westminster seem much closer than they really are but almost 50 years of tree growth has spoilt the view today.

Thanks for that Peter. I only worked in London for two years before moving overseas. A bigger adventure for me! Enjoy the week. Cheers Pete

/I am sure we'd survive the 'spoilt' view for the sake of the trees. Imagine a town with 1000 churches/palace and one tree, and thousand trees and only one palace - my choice would be very simple.

No problem with trees, the more the better but just don't let them grow wild!

Well, in China they say similar things about the citizen's individuality :D.

I got your point, just want to point that I cannot agree 100 percent with what you wrote. It may well have a cultural background, as England is probably one of the least wooded areas of Europe?
