De tijd - The time

Twee van de twaalf kalenderpanden die elk de naam van een maand dragen. Oorspronkelijk gebouwd als pakhuizen (1840). Hier de maanden februari en maart zoals naast de deuren is te zien. In 1996 gekraakt aangezien het leeg stond en er goedkope huisvesting nodig was. Sinds 2001 in gebruik als peperdure appartementen.
De noodzaak voor zowel goedkope en betaalbare woningen is sinds 2000 alleen maar toegenomen. Noch de markt noch de overheid voorzien in deze noodzaak.

Two of the twelve ‘kalenderpanden’ (calendar premises), each of them carrying the name of a month of the calendar. Here the months February and March as noted left and right next to the doors. Originally built as warehouses (1840). In 1996 it was squatted since as it was not used and cheap housing was needed. Since 2001 in use as very pricey appartments.
The necessity for both cheap and affordable housing has only increased sinds 2000. Neither the market nor the state are providing for this necessity.
