Too hot for the birds

It was 38C (100F) on this particular day (2 July 2013) that I was driving around the backroads SW of Calgary. Spent five most enjoyable hours, sitting in air-conditioning (which I don't have at home) and finding some beautiful things to photograph. So many of the birds I photographed that afternoon had their beaks open, they were just so hot, including this Eastern Kingbird.
