Too hot for a winter coat

Too hot for a winter coat
These enormous animals always make me smile when they are shedding their winter coats. They aren't quite finished yet, but might have felt better yesterday if all that shaggy, matted fur had gone. We got up to 33C (91F) or 35C (95C) yesterday, depending on which part of the city. The weather forecast said that it would feel like 38" (100F) when the temperature said 33C, and it sure was a HOT one! Most people here don't have air-conditioning, which is why I just had to spend a few hours driving around in a cool car. I don't know how all the people clearing flood debris coped with such high temperatures. Photographed this mighty beast yesterday afternoon (through a fence!), 2 July 2013, at a buffalo and elk farm, SW of the city.

Be thankful that you are not in the southwest at +50C temps ... all time records ... this heat should melt the Arctic ice as expected by 2030 ... or even earlier ... the oil exploration has started in the Arctic ... personally I would rather have the ice ... excellent shot of these once free-to-roam beasts of the wild!!
