Rare Hooker's Townsendia / Townsendia hookeri

I think I'm right in saying that there are just two places in Calgary where this rare species grows. This macro photo was taken at Bebo Grove, Fish Creek Park, on 7 May 2013. This small, native wildflower from the Sunflower - Asteraceae family, grows on dry prairie grasslands and eroded slopes mid-April to May. White or sometimes pinkish, and about an inch across the flowerhead. The buds I see are pink. Always a thrill to see these flowers. The name comes from Philadelphia botanist David Townsend and for Joseph Hooker, turn of the century English botanist, director of Royal Botanic Gardens.
