Great Gray Owl

I love going into the aviary at the Calgary Zoo, where you can be just a few feet away from a Great Gray Owl or Snowy Owl, with nothing between you and them. This beauty was perched on a post just above my eye level and I was maybe six or seven feet from it. Those tiny, yellow eyes are so piercing! I have seen these birds in the wild but have not yet been able to get a close photo.
