Mule Deer

I went back to see if I could find either the rare Black-backed Woodpecker or the uncommon Three-toed Woodpecker, both of which I had seen over the last two days. No luck today - not even a Chickadee was to be heard! However, there were three of these gentle Mule Deer in the parking lot area when I arrived. They seem to have a habit of looking up at you occasionally, but not quite long enough to focus the camera. By the time, Focus is ready, the deer has returned to feeding near the ground! This deer had broken off a branch and it was more than he/she could chew, so I was lucky : )
