"Telephone Road"

A while back Mick said I could add "Telephone Road" by Rodney Crowell to 'Soundtrack to Life' :-)
This is Jowett 'Walk' in Oxford so it is not exactly a 'Road' but it does have a telephone box and presumably there is a telephone inside :-)
So, this is the best I can do :-)

We have been so very fortunate to have seen Kathy 'Live in Concert' several times over the years :-))

I am still struggling to get up-to-date here on ipernity.
But, I think I may have actually caught-up commenting upon postings to our 'Soundtrack to Life' Group :-)
So, in way of a small celebration I am uploading this shot to -
Soundtrack to Life
The song talks of water and a boat for two. There is water in my shot and a boat although it carries a lot more than just two peeps. But, I think I am allowed this link :-))
The track comes from Fred's classic "Bleeker & MacDougal" album. It is very sad to read that Fred passed away in 2001 when he was battling skin cancer.

Returned home yesterday after spending New Year on the Isle of Wight.
There is now lots and lots.........and lots of catching-up for me to do :-))
From Wikipedia -
“Ventnor is a seaside resort established in the Victorian era on the south coast of the Isle of Wight, England. It lies underneath St Boniface Down (which, at 241 metres (791 feet), is the highest point on the Isle of Wight), and is built on steep slopes and cliffs leading down to the sea. The sheltered location on the cliff of the Island's south coast means the area experiences a micro-climate with more sunny days than much of the British Isles, and fewer frosts.”

It looks like Christmas will soon be here and I am working on my proper “Merry Christmas” upload :-)
In the meantime, it's time to dig out the “Big Night” and “Have Yourself A Tractor's Christmas” cd's by The Tractors....surprisingly :-)
“Jingle My Bells” is my absolute fave track on “Have Yourself A Tractor's Christmas” but I can't find a version of this on YouTube. So, I think I am allowed to have two other links.....i.e. one link to “The Santa Claus Boogie” and the other link to “Santa Claus Is Comin' In A Boogie Woogie Choo Choo Train” :-))

Quite pleased with how this one turned out considering it was shot thru' glass and it was a bit misty/hazy :-)
p.s. sinking a bit at the mo and doing battle over copyright-free music but that's another story :-)

From Wikipedia -
“At various points in her life, Lorrie Morgan has been married to three different country singers: Keith Whitley, Jon Randall and Sammy Kershaw. She has sold over 6 million records worldwide.”
If Keith Whitley had not died from alcoholic poisoning I do wonder if Lorrie and Keith would have stayed together. I feel sure Keith would have been one of the truly great country singers had he not succumbed at just 33 years old.
Anyway, I first became aware of Lorrie many years ago when I purchased a “Live from Church Street Station” VHS Video.......VHS Video was one of them things where it was all too easy for the tape to get tangled up inside the VHS player :-)
I don't think I put anything in the Rules about having more than one musical link. So, there are two links here. I will possibly get myself in a bit of bother but in the second link I think Lorrie's jeans are a very nice colour :-)

The Radcliffe Observatory dating from 1794 reflected in the Andrew Wiles Building dating from 2013.
The following is an extract from Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radcliffe_Observatory
"Radcliffe Observatory was founded and named after John Radcliffe by the Radcliffe Trustees. It was built on the suggestion of the astronomer Thomas Hornsby, who was occupying the Savilian Chair of Astronomy, following his observation of the notable transit of Venus across the sun's disc in 1769 from a room in the nearby Radcliffe Infirmary. The building is now used by Green Templeton College off the Woodstock Road and forms a centrepiece for the college. The original instruments are located in the Museum of the History of Science in central Oxford, with the exception of the Radcliffe 18/24-inch Twin Refractor telescope, which was transferred to the University of London Observatory."
Extract from www.worldconstructionnetwork.com/news/oxford-university-opens-andrew-wiles-mathematical-institute-building-041013 as follows -
“Oxford University in the UK has opened a new £70 million ($113 million) mathematical institute building. The building is named after the Oxford professor, Andrew Wiles, who proved Fermat's last theorem. Designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects, the Andrew Wiles building will feature six lecture theatres, 500 mathematical researchers and about 900 undergraduates. The building will have space to unite all of the university's mathematicians departments, who were previously based at three separate locations.”

For me Linda's version just edges out the original :-) And, of course, for me Linda can do no wrong :-)
The volume on this does really need to be turned up a bit :-) but I do have to wait for the neighbours to go out :-) ….....or put the headphones on :-)

p.s. The dice cost me £3.49 from Halfords and quite a lot of trial and error to get them to tumble out of the sky!
