Thanks very much, Goodrun. Yes, have been surprised by the number of fallen leaves already. Hope that doesn't mean we are due for really cold winter :-)

I hope so too, but some birds have obviously started migrating early.... A cold winter would be most inconvenient with energy prices so high and not enough gas. (In Germany we have to waste gas to produce electricity for France because many of their reactors are offline)

Hello Gudrun. It's going to be a tough winter here but from what I have read it's going to be a lot worse for Germany. It will probably never happen, but I would wish for a world free of wars and “special military operations”.
