39/365: "As iron is eaten away by rust, so the envious are consumed by their own passion." ~ Antisthenes

Another dazzling, crisp morning greeted me as I popped out of bed and set off to find my picture today! Up along the top of our large meadow I went, and found myself standing at our huge, old bulldozer. This baby is covered with photo ops, and I'll definitely raid it for more pictures in the future, but this is the one Steve liked best!
Antisthenes (445 BCE – 365 BCE) was a Greek philosopher and a pupil of Socrates. Antisthenes first learned rhetoric under Gorgias before becoming an ardent disciple of Socrates. He adopted and developed the ethical side of Socrates' teachings, advocating an ascetic life lived in accordance with virtue. Later writers regarded him as the founder of Cynic philosophy.
