32/365: "Arriving at one goal is the starting point to another." ~ John Dewey

What a perfect quote for this image, which marks the beginning of my second month of my 365 project, and the completion of my first of 12 goals! This picture is a closeup of a tea rose leaf, covered in droplets. This hardy bush grows off our back deck. Not satisfied with growing where it should, it is forever forcing its way through the planks of the deck!
John Dewey (October 20, 1859 – June 1, 1952) was an American philosopher, psychologist and educational reformer whose ideas have been influential in education and social reform. Dewey was an important early developer of the philosophy of pragmatism and one of the founders of functional psychology. He was a major representative of progressive education and liberalism.
